2017 Citrus Heights Police Logs: road rage, naked neighbors, skate park assault

Latest Citrus Heights police logs include a road rage incident at Sunrise Boulevard and Old Auburn Road, an assault and arrest at Rusch Skatepark, burglary at a fire station on Greenback Lane, and an ongoing problem with a neighbor allegedly exposing himself at his front door.

The following is a summary of select incidents listed in the Citrus Heights Police Department’s daily incident bulletins, from May 26 to June 1, 2017:

June 1, 2017: Total of 55 incidents listed
Incident report categories of note: 19 disturbance-related, 7 homeless-related, 0 burglaries, 1 robbery, 7 collisions, 4 assault reports, 1 stolen vehicle reported, 2 petty thefts.

8:57 a.m., Disturbance Verbal, Deville Oaks Way. A woman was reportedly outside “screaming at a builder” who was constructing a fence. The caller said there was an ongoing dispute with a neighbor over the property line, but said the builder had paperwork from a surveyor who had marked the property line. Disposition listed: civil problem.

3:33 p.m., Arson, Westwood Park on Butternut Drive. Police were advised that three juveniles had lit a book on fire on a play structure at Westwood Park. A description of the suspects was provided and Metro Fire was listed as en route for a “possible arson attempt.” Disposition listed: “refer other agency.”

9:33 p.m., Reckless Driving, Antelope/Auburn. A light-colored sedan was reportedly driving 100 miles per hour on the freeway and then continued at 75 miles per hour on Antelope Road and Auburn Boulevard. Disposition listed: arrest.

May 30, 2017: Total of 60 incidents listed
Incident report categories of note: 13 disturbance-related, 6 homeless-related, 3 burglaries, 0 robberies, 5 collisions, 4 assault reports, 1 stolen vehicle reported, 6 petty thefts.

8:43 a.m., Burglary, Metro Fire Station. A door had reportedly been forced open at Metro Fire Station 21 on Greenback Lane. Nothing was taken and no suspect information was listed. Disposition: report taken.

12:58 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Greenback Gardens Apartments on Burich Ave. A caller told police he had been involved in a verbal argument with a man in his early twenties. The caller was described as upset and “very confused.” He told police “that we need to catch the people that yell at him” and said he was “under the influence of caffeine which made the other subject angry.” Disposition listed: unable to locate.

3:08 p.m., Graffiti Public Property, Sylvan Middle School. A happy face with glasses had reportedly been spray painted onto a sound wall at the new Sylvan Middle School on Auburn Boulevard. Disposition listed: refer other agency.

4:13 p.m., Homeless Camp, AM/PM on Auburn Blvd. Police were advised that “a lot of items” were being dumped on the AM/PM property, including couches, clothing, and tarps. The caller also said someone may be sleeping at the location overnight and believes the mess is negatively affecting his business and is also a fire hazard. Disposition listed: advised.

4:29 p.m., Indecent Exposure, Sunrise East Wy. A caller said her downstairs neighbor “will stand in his open door naked when she comes downstairs.” Disposition listed: advised.

8:25 p.m., Assault, Rusch Skate Park on Antelope Road. Several people were reportedly involved in a fight at the skate park. Disposition listed: arrest.

May 29, 2017: Total of 52 incidents listed
Incident report categories of note: 26 disturbance-related, 5 homeless-related, 2 burglaries, 0 robberies, 1 collision, 4 assault reports, 0 stolen vehicle reported, 6 petty thefts.

9:24 a.m., Petty Theft, Blackthorne Way. Two large plants, welcome mats, and other decorations valued at approximately $200 were reportedly stolen from a residence on Blackthorne Way, located off Tupelo Drive. Another theft of yard items was listed in police logs the same day on Sun Hill Drive, where a swing had been stolen from a front yard. Disposition listed: advised.

1:00 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Sunrise/Old Auburn. A road rage incident was reported to police involving a brown van and a red Chevy at the intersection of Sunrise Boulevard and Old Auburn Road. One party allegedly “threw a cup of coffee into the roadway” during the incident. Disposition listed: gone on arrival.

1:58 p.m., Vandalism, Serrano Ct. A caller reported that sugar had been dumped into their vehicle’s gas tank. The incident occurred on Serrano Court, located near Antelope Road and Zenith Drive. Disposition listed: report taken.

5:26 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, In & Go Market on Fair Oaks Blvd. A man was reportedly “inside the store threatening to kill people.” Disposition listed: advised.
