The Citrus Heights Water District on Wednesday uploaded a two-minute video highlighting water conservation-themed artwork from local students, announcing winners of the district’s 2022 Water Awareness Poster Contest. (See video)

Citrus Heights man arrested in Lincoln
A 27-year-old man from Citrus Heights was arrested earlier this month in a commercial district in Lincoln near Highway 65, according to police logs posted last week by Gold Country Media. Pavel Igor Pozdnyakov was arrested on May 8 at Ferrari Ranch Road and Groveland Lane for prior warrants. He was booked into the South Placer Jail. (See logs)

New fire risk map shows Citrus Heights homes at minimal risk for wildfire
A new mapping tool released by a national nonprofit last week shows Citrus Heights homes are at a minimal risk for wildfire, while the majority of homes in the neighboring city of Roseville have a major risk of being damaged by a wildfire in the next 30 years. (See map)
