With warmer weather and the arrival of planting season, the Citrus Heights Water District on Thursday announced an upcoming webinar on “turning dirt into gold.”
In a news release, the district said soil expert Kit Veerkamp will lead the presentation on April 7, from noon to 1 p.m. Those interested in attending can register for the Zoom webinar online (click here).
Attendees will be taught “soil basics, the soil food web, the roles of compost and mulch, and how to make room for ground-dwelling beneficial insects and pollinators,” the district said.
