‘Hot August Movie Night’ to be held this Friday at Rusch Park

An outdoor movie showing with food trucks, a water playground, live music and a free swim at Rusch Pool are on schedule for this Friday at Rusch Park in Citrus Heights.

An event flier lists the free swim at Rusch Pool from 5:30-7:30 p.m., food trucks from 5-8:30 p.m., live music from 5:30-8 p.m. The movie, “Raya and the Last Dragon,” is scheduled to begin showing at sundown.

In an Aug. 3 post on social media, the Sunrise Recreation and Park District said food trucks slated to be on scene are: Kado’s Asian Grill, Kiki’s On The Road, The Fry Boys, Snowie Delite, and Cowtown Creamery. The district also said a popup playground will be set up “with a fun water playground experience for children.”

Live music will be provided by the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West and Voice Academy. A previously announced car show has been dropped from the plans, according to a park spokesman.

Event sponsors include Sacramento County Supervisor Sue Frost, Cal-American Water, Citrus Heights Car Wash, and Sunrise Marketplace.
