Local neighborhood associations are partnering with the parks district to organize a “cleanup & fix up day” at San Juan Park this Saturday.

A flyer distributed by Citrus Heights Area Seven Eight Nine says the June 18 cleanup event will be held at 5509 Mariposa Ave., just off Madison Avenue.

Volunteers are encouraged to arrive between 9:30-10 a.m., with the event scheduled to continue until noon. A hot dog lunch with chips and Kona Ice will be provided for volunteers.

Anyone interested in volunteering is asked to contact Tom Scheeler at CityCitrusHeightsREACH@gmail.com.

Participating organizations include the Residents’ Empowerment Association of Citrus Heights (REACH), various neighborhood associations, and the Sunrise Recreation and Park District.
