Events are coming back to Citrus Heights, with three family friendly events slated for this Saturday, April 9.
Dead Car Cruisin’ Car Show. The show revs up outside El Tapatio at 5637 Sunrise Blvd. at 10 a.m. and cruises until 2 p.m. The event is free to spectators and promises raffles, music and trophies.
The show will also include donation opportunities for a scholarship drive where qualified students can be “awarded a scholarship to attend automotive school with their goals specifically for classic and muscle cars.” (Read more)
Kidtopia. Citrus Town Center will host a “Hoppin’ Good Time” kids event from 10-11:30 a.m. at the shopping plaza at the corner of Greenback Lane and Sunrise Boulevard. Free activities for kids and families will include a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny, balloon twisting, face painting, DJ dance party, crafts, and child ID cards.
A minimum $1 donation will be accepted for bunny visits, with proceeds going towards the Citrus Heights Homeless Assistance Resource Team. Free sign-up for the town center’s “Kidtopia” program is required for participation. (See link)
Cruisin’ for Kids Sake. Cappuccino Cruisers will host a “Spring Fever – Cruisin’ for Kids” pre-1979 car show in the parking lot of Texas Roadhouse at 6309 Sunrise Blvd. The event begins at 10 a.m. and will continue through 3 p.m. Attendees can expect outside BBQ, vendors, crafters, awards, music and raffle.
