Latest local police logs include three women reportedly making off with over $5,000 in stolen merchandise from Victoria’s Secret, a rash of petty thefts, and a gun reported at the Rusch Skate Park.
The following is a summary of select incidents listed in the Citrus Heights Police Department’s daily incident bulletins for Sept. 11, 2019. Dispositions are listed where provided by police. Additional logs are linked below.
Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019: Total of 73 incidents reported. Incident report categories of note: 25 calls regarding suspicious activities, 15 disturbance-related, 6 homeless-related, 8 petty thefts, 1 grand theft, 1 burglary, 2 assault reports, 2 hit-and-run collisions.
1:11 a.m., Domestic Violence, Atwood Apartments on Heritage Tree Ln. A female with blood on her was observed running out of an apartment screaming. A male was then reportedly observed pulling her back into the apartment.
2:52 a.m., Burglary Vehicle, Montage Apartments on Fair Oaks Blvd. A vehicle was broken into at the Montage Apartment complex, with a wallet and military gear reported stolen.
3:03 a.m., Prowler, Northlea Way. A woman called police after hearing someone walking on her roof around 3 a.m.
2:16 p.m., Petty Theft, 99 Cent Store on Greenback Ln. Police were contacted after a male suspect reportedly shoved a shopping cart into a manager at the 99 Cent Store and threatened to assault another manager before making off with several stolen items. Medical attention was declined.
3:27 p.m., Petty Theft, San Juan High School on Greenback Ln. A student at San Juan High School reported their phone had been stolen from a backpack within the past 30 minutes and was currently being tracked to a location near Sylvan.
3:56 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Rusch Skate Park on Antelope Rd. Police were advised that a male at the skate park had pulled out a pistol and let a 10-year-old hold it. He also allegedly “waved it around” and said he had “used it before.”
4:38 p.m., Reckless Driving, Mariposa Ave. Four juveniles were reportedly racing and speeding up and down Mariposa Avenue on small gas motorcycles.
5:43 p.m., Grand Theft, Victoria’s Secret at Sunrise Mall. Police were contacted after three females with trash bags reportedly stole $5-7,000 worth of merchandise from Victoria’s Secret.
9:27 p.m., Assault, Rusch Park on Auburn Blvd. An assault was reported at the softball field at Rusch Park. No weapons were involved, but one individual was listed as having a bat.
