Citrus Heights apartment complex sold for $32 million
An out-of-state real estate firm purchased its second apartment complex in Citrus Heights last month, the Sacramento Business Journal reported Friday. Sunrise Commons, a 168-unit apartment complex at 8123 Sunrise Blvd. was purchased for $32.5 million by Oregon Pacific. The company also owns Foxborough Apartments on Antelope Road. City holds closed-door discussion about old Sylvan Middle School property
City leaders met on Thursday with San Juan Unified School District officials to discuss price and terms of payment for a 13-acre vacant property at Sylvan Corners, once home to Sylvan Middle School. Councilman Bret Daniels said there was “no reportable action” taken during the closed-session meeting, but said “things will be public mid-May.”
Golden State Killer: one year later
Several news outlets reported an update on the Golden State Killer suspect on Wednesday, exactly a year since the suspect was arrested at his Citrus Heights home. ABC 10 reported the cost of the trial is expected to be $20 million, an amount that could be reimbursed by the state if a bill proposed by Assemblyman Jim Cooper is passed.
