Police announced the arrest of a 36-year-old Nevada woman on Friday night, following an investigation where detectives allege she was “distributing large amounts of methamphetamine” in Citrus Heights.
In an Oct. 20 news release, police said suspect Amanda St. Clair was arrested on the 6100 block of Dewey Drive, while she was attempting a trip back to her home state of Nevada. She is also accused of conducting drug sales in Nevada.
During the arrest, police said nearly one pound of methamphetamine was seized, along with 5.7 grams of rock cocaine and over $8,000 cash. A digital scale and packing materials were also seized, which police displayed in a photo accompanying the news release.
Inmate records for the Sacramento County Jail indicate St. Clair has been charged with a pair of felonies for the sale and possession of a controlled substance, along with another misdemeanor drug possession charge. She is currently ineligible for bail due to a “1275 hold,” which allows for bail to be withheld for public safety reasons, or if authorities believe bail will be paid using funds that have been illegally obtained.
St. Clair is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
