Latest police logs in Citrus Heights include a 6-foot-tall windmill reportedly being stolen from a front yard, unfounded claims of a bike robbery outside a convenience store, trouble with an ex-boyfriend, and an argument between two roommates resulting in an attempted stabbing.

September 25, 2017: Total of 57 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 13 disturbance-related, 8 homeless-related, 1 burglary, 2 petty thefts, 3 assault reports, and 4 collisions.
8:18 a.m., Suspicious circumstances, Cranford Way. A caller on Cranford Way, located in the northeastern portion of Citrus Heights, contacted police multiple times in the past week regarding a man who was causing a disturbance of some kind. The man had allegedly “claimed to a neighbor he ran out of gas” and had parked his truck on a driveway. Disposition listed: advised.
12:33 p.m., Fraud/forgery, Mariposa Avenue. A stolen iPad was purchased from Craigslist and the rightful owner began to make threats. Disposition listed: assisted.
7:00 p.m., Assault with a weapon, Great Clips on Antelope Rd. Police were advised by a caller of a possible robbery that occurred at Great Clips, involving someone who stole a bike. The victim reportedly chased the suspect with a “large stick” and one person “was yelling he’s been stabbed,” although no knife was seen. Disposition listed: “unable to locate.”

8:36 a.m., Verbal disturbance, Sunrise Commons Apartments on Sunrise Blvd. A woman who was in the process of obtaining a restraining order on her ex-boyfriend told police she had received 75 messages from him the prior day. He then came to her apartment and knocked on her windows, at some point telling her he had been drinking. At the time of the report he was on foot somewhere in the apartment complex. Disposition listed: advised.
2:15 p.m., Disturbance loitering, Burlington Coat Factory on San Juan Ave. A transient has reportedly been camping at a receiving dock behind the Burlington Coat Factory. He was described as likely under the influence, as he was “laughing at himself in his sleeping bag.” Disposition listed: assisted.
4:27 p.m., Suspicious vehicle, Mandarin Circle. A neighbor reported suspicious ongoing foot traffic near a car on Mandarin Circle, near C-Bar-C Park. People near the car could be seen smoking marijuana, and “some sort of drug substance” could be smelled in the air. Disposition listed: “unable to locate.”
5:57 p.m., Verbal disturbance, Pacheco Way. A loud fight between a man and woman was reportedly witnessed by a bystander on Pacheco Way, near Highland Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard. The man forcefully dragged the woman out of their garage and items were reportedly “flying around.” Disposition listed: checks ok.
8:23 p.m., Robbery, K’s Quik Mart on Auburn Blvd. A blonde woman in her 20s reportedly pushed a bike-rider into a creek and stole their black BMX bike. Disposition listed: unfounded.

12:07 a.m., Suspicious vehicle, Ranch House Way. Several people were reportedly “trying door handles,” while walking down Ranch House Way towards Van Maren Lane. They drove a white GMC Denali with an advertisement magnet on the side. Disposition listed: “unable to locate.”
1:19 p.m., Petty theft, Pratt Avenue. A six-foot-tall windmill was taken from the front yard of a homeowner on Pratt Avenue. The green and yellow windmill was of sentimental value to the owner, who had owned it for 50 years. No suspect information was known. Disposition listed: advised.
7:38 p.m., Assault with a weapon, Sloop Ct. An argument between roommates on Sloop Court, in the northwestern outskirts of the city, led to an arrest when one of them allegedly grabbed a knife and attempted to stab the other. Disposition listed: arrest.
9:20 p.m. Suspicious circumstances, Elephant Bar at Sunrise Mall. A woman in her mid-30s caused suspicion when she claimed that she had locked her keys in her car and began looking into the windows of other cars. She also tried to push the vehicle and was treating it “roughly,” apparently trying to trigger the alarm. Disposition listed: assisted.
