A local brewfest will be coming to the Rusch Home on June 13, promising an evening of live music, food, and tasting from local breweries, wineries and restaurants – with organizers promising 100 percent of net profits will benefit a local club dedicated to improving the lives of women and children.
Put on by the Soroptomist International of Citrus Heights, brew vendors will include Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas and Rubicon brewing companies, with wine tasting from Wofford Acres Vineyards, Fields Family Wines, and others. Food will also be on site, provided by Beach Hut Deli, Logan’s Road House and others, according to BrewfestCitrusHeights.com.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, from 5 to 9 p.m. Tickets are available for those 21 or over, with prices between $15 to $35 per person.
According to the local Soroptomist club website, projects in the area have included a kitchen project for The Glass Slipper’s Mariposa House, “Live Your Dream Award” for single mothers continuing their education, anti-trafficking projects and local scholarships.
The 2015 Brewfest enjoys sponsorship from several local businesses, including Capitol Mechanical and Sammy’s Restaurant.
The Rusch Home is located in Rusch Park, at 7301 Antelope Rd. in Citrus Heights.
