Citrus Heights will be showing off its newly enhanced Stock Ranch Nature Preserve on April 12, with tours, gardening workshops, entertainment, and food.
A grant by the California Department of Parks and Recreation in 2011 gave the City an opportunity to create outdoor learning opportunities in the 47-acre preserve. Now complete, upgrades include a native plant demonstration garden, oak woodland restoration area, Arcade Creek viewing area, and a wetland overlook.
The Saturday event is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m at 7000 Auburn Blvd, behind Costco and Wal-Mart.
